पीपल तू मैं तो हूँ छाँव पिया तभी हूँ मगन
आ आ आ आ नैनों में बस छब तेरी लहराये
झलके छलकेछलके रे
पर से हल्के हल्के
अपने ही रंग में

AVYUKTTA'S POV—
I stood there astonished—frozen, not just because I was in front of him, but because he was standing in front of me.
Just a moment ago, it was Kanay by my side, and now… it was him. Yashveer. His hand was wrapped gently yet firmly around my wrist. He wasn’t meeting my eyes, too busy staring at where our hands were joined. His cheeks were flushed a soft pink, and he kept chewing on his lower lip.
'Cutie ji aisa mat kariye.'
I continued to stare at him in silence, patiently waiting for him to gather his thoughts and speak. It felt like an eternity passed, even though it must’ve been just five minutes. Finally, he looked up and locked eyes with me.
The emotions in his gaze left me breathless.
His eyes sparkled like galaxies—holding not just happiness, but something far deeper…..gratitude? But for what?
We were under the roofed part of the terrace, so the pouring rain didn’t touch us, but its pitter-patter wrapped the moment in a peaceful cocoon.
Seeing him struggling to voice what he felt, I gestured for him to sit beside me on the swing. It had a wide seat, enough for us both. We sat close, arms slightly brushing, surrounded by the hush of the rain.
I stared at the downpour ahead, the way it caressed the earth after the sun’s torment. Rejuvenating, like him.
"Kya hua? Kuch kehna tha aapko?" I asked gently.
"Ji… wo bas… thank you." he finally said after a long pause. I chuckled, a soft laugh escaping my lips. It had barely been a day since we’d met, and I already felt free from everything that had ever caged me. Cherished, held… healed.
"Bas itni si baat ke liye aap itne nervous kyu ho rahe the?" I asked, smiling.
Again, silence returned. The swing creaked faintly as we rocked, rain still humming around us. And then he spoke.
"…Kyuki mere samne aap hai."
My heart skipped a few of its beats.
"Kyu?"
"Huh?"
"Thank you kisliye?"
He fell quiet again, carefully forming his next words.
"Ji wo aapne haa keh diya bas isiliye." He chuckled lightly. "Aapko meri baat bachkani lag rahi hogi par ye mere liye bahut badi baat hai. 24 ghante bhi nahi hue hume mile hue aur mai..."
He let out a long sigh.
"Aapki photo dekh ke hi mai samajh gaya tha, par aapko aise samne dekh ke mujhe poora bharosa ho gaya hai ki…"
He looked into my eyes, his voice trembling but steady with feeling, "Mai reh nahi sakunga aapke bina, Avyuktta."
I opened my mouth, about to say something—but before I could, a loud voice echoed from below, "Kanay, Tripti, Avyuktta zara yahan aana. Meri thodi madad kar do!" Chachi was calling us.
Startled, I stood up quickly and walked towards the entrance to go downstairs. But just before leaving, I turned around and called out, "Ji suniye."
He turned around, a soft smile playing on his lips, "Ji kahiye."
‘Cutie ji, aap bhi na…’
"Humare liye ye rishta har rishte se badhkar hai."
With that, I ran downstairs. I’m sure my face looked like a ripe tomato.
POV End
He remained there, stunned and glowing in the aftermath of her words. As the realization settled in, heat crept up his neck to his ears, painting his cheeks a deeper red. He dropped onto the swing with a dramatic thud and let out a squeal—like a schoolgirl whose crush had just said yes.
Quickly composing himself, he straightened his kurta, cleared his throat, and walked to the stairs with a shy but thrilled expression.
TIME SKIP – AFTER THE CHAOTIC DINNER, NEXT MORNING BEFORE PANDIT JI ARRIVES—
The next morning, the Sharma family rose early to prepare for the day. Their trusted family Pandit ji was scheduled to arrive at 9 AM to check the Kundalis of the soon-to-be couple and finalize the wedding dates.
Aaryan and Kanay had been sent to pick him up. Tripti was helping Avyuktta get ready, while Mridul was assisting Yashveer. The women were busy arranging fresh flower decorations, and the men were engrossed in preparing a delicious spread.
It was almost time. The final touches were being added just as Aaryan and Kanay returned with the Pandit ji. Yashveer and Avyuktta, now ready, were seated in the living room with the family.
As the engine’s sound echoed, everyone moved toward the main door to welcome Pandit ji. As he stepped inside, each person bent down to touch his feet and seek blessings. Abhinav guided him to the sofa across from where the couple sat.
"Pandit ji, aane mein koi takleef toh nahi hui na?" asked Abhinav.
"Na na beta, koi takleef nahi hui. Ye dono bachhe bade pyaare hai, mujhe koi takleef aane hi nahi di." Pandit ji smiled, fondly patting Kanay’s and Aaryan’s heads.
"Acha ab ye batao, kya ye hi hai woh jodi jinke liye hum yahan aaye hai?" he asked.
"Ji."
The old man looked at the couple for a long moment. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
"Lao beta, inki Kundaliyan dikhao."
Anuradha handed over Avyuktta’s, while Shivani gave Yashveer’s. Pandit ji glanced at the couple one last time before focusing on the papers. His eyes carefully scanned the details of both charts. As he absorbed the information, a small laugh escaped him. His face lit up with joy.
"Kya hua Pandit ji? Aap hass kyun rahe hai?" Shiv asked curiously.
"Aisi jodi bahut samay baad dekhi hai beta. In dono ka milan bahut pavitra hai, kyunki inka bhagya ek doosre se juda hua hai. Inka milan kisi aur ke saath sambhav hi nahi hai. Ek doosre ke bina ye adhure hai. Lakshmi - Narayan ki jodi hai ye. Inke 36 mein se 33 gun milte hai. Inke milan mein der mat karo, Abhinav beta."
"Ye toh bahut hi achhi baat hai Pandit ji. Ab aap hi inke milan ke liye ek acha din chuniye." said Abhinav with folded hands, a soft smile sitting gracefully on his face.
Pandit ji opened his Panchang, scanned it carefully, and then looked up with two auspicious dates.
